Side Dishes

Side dishes exists to accompany the main. Sides can be as simple as a cooked vegetable, or as complex as a well executed casserole.

On a weeknight, it may consist of a steamed vegetable or cooked rice. Although to impress you guests, you may want to serve a Potato Dauphinoise.

Pair the sides to your entrée by taking into account the main flavors, ethnicity and traditions that it may have. For example, a Ukrainian Garlic Sausage with most often be served with a side of Pierogis, a type of stuffed potato dumpling.
