- Egg Noodles: Replace with rotini, fusilli, penne, or wide rice noodles; use gluten-free egg noodles if needed.
- Chili Sauce: Swap with marinara sauce, tomato sauce mixed with chili flakes or premade Arrabiata Sauce.
- Celery Ribs: Substitute with fennel, green bell pepper, or zucchini for a similar fresh crunch.
- Yellow Onion: Replace with white onion, red onion, shallots, or leeks for a slightly different sweetness.
How to make Turkey Sausage Chili Egg Noodles

- Cook the egg noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the egg noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain, toss lightly to prevent sticking, and set aside.

- Brown the turkey sausages: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the turkey sausages. Cook, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and nicely browned on all sides. Transfer the sausages to a plate and slice if desired.

- Sauté the vegetables: In the same skillet, drizzle in olive oil. Add the sliced celery and diced onion and cook over medium heat for 4–5 minutes, until the onions are softened and translucent.

- Add the chili sauce: Pour the chili sauce into the skillet with the vegetables. Stir to combine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and cook for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

5. Return the sausages: Add the cooked turkey sausages back to the skillet and stir to coat them in the sauce. Simmer for another 3–5 minutes, until the sausages are heated through.

6. Serve: Spoon the turkey sausage chili over the cooked egg noodles and serve warm.
Storing the Chili Egg Noodles
Store the cooked Turkey Sausage Chili Egg Noodles by allowing the dish to cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 3 days to maintain the best texture and flavor. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave until warmed through, adding a splash of water or broth to loosen the sauce if needed. Avoid freezing if possible, as egg noodles can become soft when thawed, but freeze in portions for up to 2 months if necessary and reheat gently.
