Substitutions and Variations

  • Cheese - Change out the mozzarella in this recipe for any type of block cheese, like Marble Cheddar, Monterrey Jack, or even Gouda.
  • Sauce - Try switching out the tomato sauce for your favorite BBQ sauce or even an alfredo sauce for a completely different flavor profile.
  • Meat - Feel free to add meat to this pizza recipe. Add small cubes of ham for the classic Ham and Pineapple taste, or change it up with chopped cooked bacon.

How to store the pizza

Let the Veggies Pizza with Pineapple cool completely before storing to help keep the crust from becoming soggy. Store leftover slices in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days for best flavor and texture. Reheat the pizza in a 375°F (190°C) oven or in a skillet until the crust is crisp and the toppings are warmed through. Avoid microwaving if possible, as it can soften the crust and dull the texture of the roasted vegetables and pineapple.
