Make a creamy tomato sauce, which will envelop the cooked ground beef, tender pasta, and brought together with grated cheese! Ingredients for a Beefaroni recipe

- Short Pasta (penne, bowtie, fusilli, macaroni)
- Ground Beef
- Onion
- Garlic
- Butter
- Flour
- Tomato Paste
- Beef Broth
- Cream
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Mustard
- Ketchup
- Grated Cheddar Cheese

Instructions

Start by cooking the pasta in a large pot of boiling water. When cooked, strain the pasta and reserve.

In a large skillet on medium-high heat, cook the beef, and then add the onion and garlic so soften them.

When the onions are translucent and the beef is fully cooked, remove the meat mixture from the pan, and place in a clean bowl.

Turn the heat down on the skillet to medium-low. Melt the butter in the skillet, without browning it.

Add the flour and the tomato paste to the melted butter and whisk everything together until smooth. Then add the broth and the cream to the roux, while continuously whisking.

Whisk the ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce into the sauce. Turn the heat off of the skillet.
Place the cooked meat and the drained pasta into the sauce and fold them in until covered in sauce. Sprinkle the grated cheese into the Beefaroni recipe and stir until it starts to melt.

Substitutions and Variations
- PASTA - This Beefaroni recipe works great with any type of small pasta. Examples of small pastas are; Bowtie, Fenne, Fusilli, Rotelle, or Macaroni. Use about 2 cups (8oz) of short pasta for this dish.
- CHEESE - Any type of grated cheese would be delicious in this dish. Replace the grated cheddar with, Monterrey Jack or even Marble Cheese.
- MEAT - Substitute the ground beef with any other type of ground meat like; chicken, turkey, pork, or a blend of pork and beef.
- HEAT THINGS UP - Add ½ cup of prepared buffalo sauce to the base sauce to give this dish a nice kick. You could also add regular hot sauce to turn up the heat.
Store your leftover Beefaroni recipe
Store any remaining Beefaroni into airtight containers. Place in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Place portion in the freezer for up to a month, for a comforting meal on the go.

Homemade Beefaroni Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups Short Pasta (penne, bowtie, fusilli, macaroni)
Ground Beef Mixture
- 700 grams Ground Beef
- ½ large White Onion diced
- 4 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Salt
Tomato Cream Sauce Mixture
- ? cup Unsalted Butter
- 2 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
- 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
- 1½ cup Beef Broth
- ½ cup Half and half or heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire
- 1 tablespoon Yellow Mustard
- 1 tablespoon Ketchup
- 1½ cup Grated Cheddar Cheese
Instructions
- Start by bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add in a tablespoon of salt to the water and then cook the pasta as directed on the box. When cooked, drain them and reserve in a bowl.
Cooking the Meat
- For the meat mixture, cook the ground beef in a large skillet on medium-high heat. When almost cooked, add the onion and garlic.
- Cook until the onions are translucent and the meat fully cooked. Remove the meat mixture from the skillet and into a clean bowl.
Making the Sauce
- In the emptied skillet on medium heat, melt down the butter. Add the flour and the tomato paste to the melted butter and whisk until a smooth paste form. Cook it for a minute.
- Deglaze the skillet by adding the beef broth to the tomato slurry. Whisk until a smooth sauce forms and starts to simmer. Add the cream to the sauce and whisk to combine.
- Add the ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to the sauce and stir them in. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes while stirring to keep it smooth.
Assembling the Dish
- Take the sauce off of the heat. Add the cooked ground beef mixture and the cooked pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Fold everything together until well covered in the sauce.
- Add the grated cheese to the skillet and stir until it just starts to melt. Serve hot and enjoy!
