Shape four equal patties, making an indentation in the centre, resulting in a flatter, more even cooked patty.
Cook the burger patties on the BBQ or in a frying pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes per side, making sure that the internal temperature reached a minimum of 160F. Set the cooked patties aside.
Cook the eggs on the flat top grill or in a frying pan, on low-medium heat. Cover the eggs with a lid to trap steam and help cook the whites evenly. Cook slowly for 2–3 minutes, until the whites are fully set but the yolk remains runny.
Assemble the Bacon Egg Cheese Burger by starting with the bottom of the hamburger bun. Spread on some mayonnaise, then place some lettuce, tomato slices on top and top with a burger patty. Top it with a cheese slice, onion slices, bacon, and a cooked egg. Place the top part of the bun on top and enjoy!
